also working on defining workflows for financial industry business

Good point David, as a case in point, we used XML in a product developed for
the Healthcare
industry to define the workflow of business processes. If you look at the
output XML for these business process workflows you'd swear it was an
executable
script, but of course it's not. XML is functionally rich and simple to
implement;
it's a very effective tool for describing business process workflows and the
data used by those workflows (XML + associated DTD's virtually become a
formal
description language - anyone remember Estelle?).
