Out of the box, latest XMLmind XML Editor, v4.6, works fine on Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit. In principle, you do not need to upgrade XMLmind XML Editor. However, if you use the distribution with a bundled Java runtime (xxe-pro-4_2_1-setup.exe), [1] You'll need to install xxe-pro-4_2_1-setup-nojvm.exe instead. (We'll tell you where you can download this file if needed to.) [2] You'll need to install separately latest Java runtime (v1.6.0_20+). Pick Java 64-bit if you have Windows 7 64-bit and Java 32-bit if you have Windows 7 32-bit. Moreover, you *may* need to start XMLmind XML Editor using XXE_install_dir/bin/xxe.bat rather than using XXE_install_dir/bin/xxe.exe if you have Windows 7 64-bit. -- XMLmind XML Editor Support List [email protected] http://www.xmlmind.com/mailman/listinfo/xmleditor-support
