Yes, that's right. Our XMLmind DITA Converter is not compatible in any way with the DITA OT. > > I checked out the DITA 1.2 specification PDF output from the XMLMind > DITA Converter and although it is a better looking PDF, it might not fit > our corporate look and feel. We understand that very well, and we hope to make this task as easy as possible in future versions of XMLmind XML Editor Professional Edition. > Would I be able to customize what is done > in the DITA Converter (such as changing the color of the headings or > what not) or would I have to use what you provide out of the box? There are basically two ways to customize the output of XMLmind DITA Converter (ditac): [1] Specifying parameters in the dialog box displayed by menu item "Options|Customize Configuration|Change Document Conversion Parameters". [2] Creating a short, simple, custom XSLT stylesheet importing the stock one. --> Customizing the output by changing some parameters of XSLT stylesheets is a task that may be performed by an author from within XMLmind XML Editor Professional Edition. More information about the "Change Document Conversion Parameters" menu item: http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/help/com.xmlmind.xmleditapp.kit.part.ConversionParametersEditor.html The reference of all the parameters supported by ditac is found here: http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/xsltParams.html#xsltParams --> Creating a custom XSLT stylesheet allows to perform more advanced customizations quite easily and quite reliably. However this is task may not be performed by an author. Unless you are a power user yourself, it requires hiring an XML consultant. How to create such custom XSLT stylesheets is explained here: http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/manual-6.html#customAttributeSet > > Otherwise it seems as though this application would meet my needs. -- XMLmind XML Editor Support List [email protected] http://www.xmlmind.com/mailman/listinfo/xmleditor-support
