Yes, that's right. Our XMLmind DITA Converter is not compatible in any
way with the DITA OT.

We understand that very well, and we hope to make this task as easy as
possible in future versions of XMLmind XML Editor Professional Edition.

There are basically two ways to customize the output of XMLmind DITA
Converter (ditac):

[1] Specifying parameters in the dialog box displayed by menu item
"Options|Customize Configuration|Change Document Conversion Parameters".

[2] Creating a short, simple, custom XSLT stylesheet importing the stock
one.

--> Customizing the output by changing some parameters of XSLT
stylesheets is a task that may be performed by an author from within
XMLmind XML Editor Professional Edition.

More information about the "Change Document Conversion Parameters" menu
item:

The reference of all the parameters supported by ditac is found here:
http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/xsltParams.html#xsltParams

--> Creating a custom XSLT stylesheet allows to perform more advanced
customizations quite easily and quite reliably. However this is task may
not be performed by an author. Unless you are a power user yourself, it
requires hiring an XML consultant.

How to create such custom XSLT stylesheets is explained here:
http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/manual-6.html#customAttributeSet
