Sorry but we don't see how this could be implemented given the current 
design of XXE:

[a] When an action --whatever this action-- could make the document 
invalid, the corresponding toolbar button and/or the corresponding menu 
item is silently grayed/disabled.

[b] On the contrary, when an action is allowed given the schema being 
used, the current selection, the contents of the clipboard, etc, the 
corresponding toolbar button and/or the corresponding menu item is 
silently enabled.

[a] and [b] occur very, very, often (each time you change the editing 
context) and hence, should be quick and seamless.

I'm afraid that anyone used to word processors or to low-level XML 
editors  (i.e. programmer's XML editors) will anyway find the user 
interface of XXE annoying and confusing.

Unless, of course, the aforementioned persons take the time to learn how
