I meant pasting with Ctrl+V, not with icons and such. You press Ctrl+V, nothing happens. (This is the same kind of issue as the one I have reported for the attribute panel: no feedback.) >> well, but I'm very certain less specialized users find this annoying >> and confusing. >> > > I'm afraid that anyone used to word processors or to low-level XML > editors (i.e. programmer's XML editors) will anyway find the user > interface of XXE annoying and confusing. I suppose that's one of your major problems when trying to sell XXE so, it's worths improving where it's possible. > Unless, of course, the aforementioned persons take the time to learn how > XXE works: > > Tutorial: Copy, Cut, Paste and Delete > http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_tutorial/copy_paste/index.html That will not help the user to figure out why he can't paste. (An example: the user wants to copy-paste from one DocBook to another. Only, one is namespaceless DocBook 4(?), the other is a DocBook 5. The local element names would be fine... Me or you will figure the problem out, but the average technical writer... I doubt that.) > -- > XMLmind XML Editor Support List > [email protected] > http://www.xmlmind.com/mailman/listinfo/xmleditor-support -- Best regards, Daniel Dekany -- XMLmind XML Editor Support List [email protected] http://www.xmlmind.com/mailman/listinfo/xmleditor-support
