I was editing the wrong inline.xsl file. The search function in the Finder of Mac OSX doesn't look inside *.app. I used a shell to drill down on XMLEditor.app and found the right file. I didn't realize a .app file had files inside it - is that a symbolic link? I thought a .app file was equivalent to a .exe file on Windows.
Problem solved. Thanks again! This is done very easily from within XMLmind XML Editor. Simply use > "Options|Preferences", "Add-on|FOP" section for that. Then restart XMLmind > XML Editor. >
