I’m trying XXE pro v6 on Scientific Linux (v 6.5), and getting a crash when I choose the “Options - Install Add-ons” menu item. This error message is printed:GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Setting schema ‘org.gnome.system.proxy’ is not installed aborting… Aborted Java is OpenJDK 1.7.0_55.
See this support request for a suggested workaround. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16522932/glassfish-no-start-glib-gio-error-settings-schema-org-gnome-system-proxy-i --- Try to install gsettings-desktop-schemas. ---
Approximately the same thing happens with xxe-pro-5.8.0 (slightly different error message). Checking google, it seems this is a pretty general problem with apps that run with recent Java and somewhat older linux libraries, like those in the enterprise builds. See, for example, this Chromium bug: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=83376
Thanks for the information but we really don't see what we can do. It's *Java* which crashes, not XXE.
Also please note that we do not officially support the OpenJDK, only Apple and Oracle Java runtimes. By saying this, I simply mean that XXE is never tested against the OpenJDK (and, to make things worse, nor against any Linux distribution having a Gnome desktop).
