It's really awesome to see this and I'm excited to see it merged into -devel
after the DrJekyl Release!

It seems not all developers are as willing to brave the ``inferior
development enviornment'' for the betterment of all software. In the process
of doing this port, Juho was faced with a fairly ugly bug in the implementation
of GIOChannel on windows, after a lot of debugging he was able to find and 
squash
this bug in glib, but the patch he worked up to resolve the issue has been shown
a lot of disrespect on the gnome bug tracker[1]. So lets just take this time to
remember that if someone submits a patch they probably put a lot of work into it
and it's really better for everyone if your response to it is constructive 
instead
of rude.
