This is the classic problem that has been posted many times going back to 2007. Xmms2 and esperanza and abraca work completely together to play an mp3 etc. To play the mp3 I place it in the folder with mind in a box and the mp3 appears when I go to playlist and add. This has always worked. Mind in a box or the mp3 title appear in the stack of gKrellm and in the Esperanza front end. Several years ago. With an Ubu distro I was able to get a pls file to work. The .pls is in the folder but does not appear in the playlist view. Using abraca and esperanza. I can go to the pls file and click it to open it but nothing happens. The open button does not recognize that the pls file exists. I can add ten random songs an mp3 and Mind in a Box. They appear with each click but not the pls. We have all of the dependencies and plugins.
