Great! This modeline was the last piece of the puzzle to make it work for me, too, thanks a lot!! > 3D acceleration still doesn't work even after a full reinstall, I get > > SIS driver : out of video memory > Fatal errors in sis_dri.so > > When I run a Mesa executable like "gears". No chance incrementing the video > memory. Just one thing: how could you try 3D acceleration? Kernels up to 2.4.16 have no drm driver for the SIS, only agpgart support. These are the drm related lines im my XFree86.0.log: [drm] failed to load kernel module "sis" (II) SIS(0): [drm] drmOpen failed (EE) SIS(0): [dri] DRIScreenInit failed. Disabling DRI. Am I missing something about 3D drivers and X? What is that sis_dri.so? I use XFree 4.1.0-9 from Debian unstable, with the precompiled sis_drv.so found at http://www.tfh-berlin.de/~s712059/sis630/index.html Bye, Enrico -- GPG key: 1024D/797EBFAB 2000-12-05 Enrico Zini <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ Xpert mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xpert
