I have been trying to install an X server for several days. My video card is an ATI Rage 2000 32mb. I ran xvidtune after getting XF86Setup to finally recognize a generic card driver in the SVGA server. I thought I was almost there... I made some changes in xvidtune that made the screen appear correctly. I tested the changes and nothing bad occurred. Then I applied the changes and the screen became blurry with two vertical lines of clarity about one quarter of the screen width in from each side. Now I am in Windows and experiencing the same problems. Did I screw up my VC or my monitor? Can it be repaired? What the hell did I do?
