I'm not sure if this is a general problem, or something specific to my setup, but it looks like gamma changes only ever affect screen 0, not screen 1: when I use "xgamma" to change things on display :0.0, it works, but on display :0.1, there is no visible effect (though xgamma does show that display :0.1 received the values I set on it.)
