Mark,
I just verified that xvinfo does in fact work correctly on the
815. (I had never used that command, but I've used many Xv applications)
In fact my personal desktop at home is an i815 with a Brooktree, and
I have had no stability issues whatsoever.

Can you provide some information about the OS and some log files.
(You attached what appears to be a Microsoft shortcut, not the
actual log)

Subject: [Xpert]Intel I815 and Xv

Hello All

I am working with the Intel 815 graphics chip and a brooktree-based video
capture card (works OK with video4linux).

The XVideo extension supports and will operate video4linux devices (I've
done this on other machines in the past). However, when the i815 is my
graphics chip, my XServer restarts when I query the XVideo extension for the
adaptor information (ie - using the "xvinfo" command). I've checked the log
file I can't spot the reason why it died, I was hoping one of you could help
me shed some light on this.

Thanks in Advance,

Mark
