Yeah, this seems to work OK since Xv is ignoring the brooktree device....

I'm not real familiar with X debugging - any hints on how I would go about
figuring this out?

I traced through some test programs and it seems the X dies every time the
XV_COLORKEY atom is queryed or modified.  I need to use colorkeying to draw
on top of live video...

If you have any other ideas or suggestions I would really appreciate them
