Hi. In the archives (december) I noticed some people discussing problems with SiS630 chipsets and LCD-Displays.
I have a Sis630 in my laptop and I also ran in problems with Xfree86: The display is black with only some colorful spots on it. Then it get's brighter until it's white. That happens with all Drivers i tried even with VGA, not only with the Sis-Driver. (I tried X-Free 4.1.0 and 3.3.6) Strange thing is, that a CRT-monitor, if attached to the connector on the backside of the laptop, produces a perfect picture! Is this the problem that was discussed? Will the next release contain a bugfix for this problem?
