You are right, but it looked cool, don't ya think. How about
put "." item 1 of last "/" item of fullpath into filename
I must admit that this is not perfect either.
One alternative seems to have been dropped:
put first item(".") of ...
I like that one, too. There will obviously be no solution that sounds
like natural English AND is usable in xTalk if there is more than one
type of items in one line. So lets make it short... and not use
"del"... if you have to abbreviate delimiter then use delim.
