Hi everybody,
I just had a look at what syntax SuperCard 3.6 added to SuperTalk ... I
hate most of it. Another function with such cryptic syntax as we had with
the movie() function (Chris, Simon, what happened to the English-like
syntax you promised?), named script() to do AppleScript, instead of really
supporting OSA like HyperCard does.
The drag & drop stuff is highly platform-specific and very unlikely to
work on other platforms (directly exposes the developer to MacOS Drag
Manager type codes).
The only thing I liked are things I've been longing to add for a long
time: defaultCursor and objectCursor properties which make it easier to set
the cursor over an object without lockCursor and mouseEnter/mouseLeave
magic (I guess they needed it now that they've got an option to turn off
mouseWithin, -Enter and -Leave).
Anyone already have the latter feature? Gain? MC?
