Right... I remember Mark Shuttleworth once asked at his blog for wiki software that supported the Docbook format, but that was for some project for creating free schoolbooks.

Yeah, that would be easier, but it just doesn't work that way
technically. The documentation is written in 'Docbook' format, so that
it can be translated into other languages and transformed into HTML and
PDF by release time. Unfortunately, you cannot do the same with content
from a wiki.

There has been some talk on coming up with automatic wiki>>docbook
conversion over on the ubuntu-doc mailing-list a while ago, but I don't
see that happening in the near future. So, we'll have to stick to
docbook for the official documentation.
