There's not been much in the way of pointing at daily image testing this cycle - so I'll start making up for that.

That's where it always was.

While it might seem rather pointless at times to keep testing these things, it isn't - while there is no automatic testing of our images currently - manual testing of the images is the *ONLY* way we know that it actually boots. There is work being done on that within the QA community at the moment, but it's not finished.

Even if you only manage to boot the iso to the live desktop - please report that at the tracker, you can comment on your test result if that is all you did.

In a few weeks - we'll be starting milestone testing, once more we are only doing so for Betas [1]

In addition we've also got a few PPAs which we are using for packages we are working on and/or looking to add soon or early in the next cycle.

https://launchpad.net/~shimmerproject/+archive/ubuntu/daily?field.series_filter=wily - obviously themes and icons here

https://launchpad.net/~xubuntu-dev/+archive/ubuntu/xubuntu-staging?field.series_filter=wily - includes xfpanel-switch [2]

https://launchpad.net/~xubuntu-dev/+archive/ubuntu/ppa?field.series_filter=wily - daily builds for some Xubuntu/Xfce packages

Reporting bugs for packages in PPAs can't be done with ubuntu-bug, see Bluesabre's blog post for more information on bug reporting for us [3]

It's not that far in the future when Wily will be out of the door and XX rears it's head, given that we'll need to be supporting that for 3 years, we need to get back to the awesome amount of testing people did during the Trusty cycle [4]

I'll be shortly looking at our exploratory testing - so expect more from me.

regards
