Yes and no. It all depends on market penetration. If Windows Longhorn gets enough of the market (arbitrary guess 40%+) then it will be able to dicate play with XAML, especially with MyXAML pushing it's way onto other platforms - who's to say Linux distros won't be shipping with MyXAML in the future?

But that depends on all kinda of unpredictable issues. Will the world keep
warming to Linux and will it gain enough momentum to compete with Windows XP
and inevitably Longhorn? I think so, I think in two years time Linux desktops
will be penetrating 20% of the market and rising, or more if Asia continues
it's recent trends. But I could be talking baloney. Who knows!?
