For those who haven't been following our commit notifys, the putback
for Xorg 1.6 integration has happened for nv_116. The full list of
modules upgraded and their new versions can be seen at:
 http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6826940

Before anyone jumps on me again, these are *NOT* the final versions
that will be shipped in the next OpenSolaris release - these are only
the versions that we plan to ship in SXCE 116 & the build 116 updates
to the /dev repo. I fully expect more updates in later builds - for
instance, I already filed the RFE to bump Mesa from 7.4.1 to 7.4.2,
and plan to update Xorg from 1.6.2RC1 to 1.6.2 once the final release
is out from the community. We will not know what the final versions
for the next OpenSolaris release will be until we know what versions
the community will have out by the time of the feature freeze - since
neither the community versions nor the feature freeze date are known
yet, we can't do more than guess. (If Xorg hits the planned July-ish
release date for Xorg 1.7 / X11R7.5, and the next OpenSolaris release
sticks to the proposal for the next release in 2010.02, then odds are
good we'll update to those releases for 2010.02. If either schedule
changes, and both have a track record of changing more often than not,
then we'll see how they line up.)

For now, the next big projects the X team is working on for
Nevada/OpenSolaris include:
 - integration of xcb 1.2
 - migration from RealVNC to TigerVNC
 - finishing the migration of old components from our closed gate
   to our open-src gate
 - preparing to build IPS packages out of our gate, and planning for
the IPS great renaming/refactoring of packages
 - finishing the EOF/removal of Xsun (x86 removal soon, SPARC TBD)
 - migrating our gate from TeamWare to Mercurial (depends of finishing
removal/migration of old closed source portions first)

If there's something else you think we should be working on, come talk
to us (especially if you want to help make it happen).
