I will try to get it working with Studio also as I know that's prob one of your requirements, make sure everything is sane over the next day or so and will have the patches for FOX gate. As for testing for your legacy apps etc.. that's beyond my scope unless your paying me <g>
However, the adding of XCB to the FOX Makefile build system is done here, should you need it your welcome to contact me at any time.
