I did a Xorg -configure and used that config but that also
didn't give a working keyboard. (e.g. that uses the
old config setup). I will retry tonight and send you
a full log. (I need to redo the install as I created a
snapshot and destroyed that after having a non
working setup.

Those work ok, only no input devices. Tried using the drivers on the
old binaries but the api is so different they don't get loaded.
