I've got a Fujitus laptop with an Intel 945GM card. When I try and start up X with the i810 driver, I'm told:
(II) Primary Device is: PCI 00:02:0 (--) Assigning device section with no busID to primary device (WW) I810: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:0:2:1) found (EE) No devices detected. If I put BusID "PCI:0:2:1" into my xorg.conf, the error switches to: (WW) I810: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:0:2:0) found scanpci shows pci bus 0x0000 cardnum 0x02 function 0x00: vendor 0x8086 device 0x27a2 Intel Corporation Mobile Integrated Graphics Controller pci bus 0x0000 cardnum 0x02 function 0x01: vendor 0x8086 device 0x27a6 Intel Corporation Mobile Integrated Graphics Controller So I have a "dual headed" card. I've tried defining Device sections for both BusIDs, but X still throws up the same error. I've got linux on the same machine, and X works just fine on that. (Though I do need to use 915resolution to get 1280x800. I have a Solaris binary of 915resolution too.) Any suggestions? I guess I need to tell X to ignore the second device, but I can't work out how to do that. I tried using the Linux xorg.conf on Solaris, but it doesn't change the errors I get. I'm using Nevada Build 52, btw. thanks Rob This message posted from opensolaris.org
