I have a laptop, Dell Inspiron 9400. The graphic card is intel 945GM, too. And the screen is 17' 1440*900 wide screen.
I am going to install 3 OS, winxp, linux, solaris on it. Now I have finished installations of the winxp and linux and planning to install solaris 10 build 53. The linux destribution I chosed is Debian - etch. After base installation, the KDE can only work in 1280*1024. I checked it. The driver for 945GM is vesa genric. I think in solairs, may be the vesa can work well as well. I used the 915resolution tool to upgrade the screen to 1440*900. Is there exist any program like 915resolution in solaris world to solve the problem? This message posted from opensolaris.org
