Tried to Recover from FailSafe: Yes but no Success.
Failsafe is capable of putting the boot.archive back into 'sync' but not if the
'path_to_inst' file is corrupted..(At least as far as I know at the moment on
x86).

Did an initial install of nv_28, using Xsun. This as the warning says
'destroys all data on the disk'. Using kdmconfig the system configuration was
changed from Xorg to Xsun and back over the course of a week. Today I
discovered '/kernel/drv/nvidia'. I assume this is not the binary driver
downloaded and discussed in my first post. Out of curiosity changed 'nv' to
'nvidia' in /etc/X11/xorg.conf and allowed 'load of glx'.

Logged out....Logged In...Changed display to 1650x1050 via Desktop
preferences...No Problem. Shutdown and restarted (Straight boot)...No problem.

Is /kernel/drv/nvidia the 'binary' driver?
