Does it mean that DRM module for OSOL is completely disabled or just
module for ATI cards? What is your sugesstion? How we could solve this
conflict?

Sun has been organizing JavaOne conference. Recently, started to organize
CommunityOne East/West/North. OpenSolaris developer conference is approaching
in Dresden at the end of October, I think. Why Sun would not start one
week conference dedicated only to X Window System, but with more condensed
schedule and with more intense learning/discussion that it was at JavaOne.
Of course, with much less glamor to be cost effective. There are plenty of
places in Europe (Central, Eastern, SouthEastern), where it could be done
with very small budget. Here, in Belgrade, Serbia, hotels and conference rooms
are very cheap but quality is at the same level as in other parts of Europe.
If conference in Portland is expensive for us, then we could do it here.
I propose that Sun cover expenses for some of Community members, because they
will contribute much more code in return in the future. Personally, I'm the
first one who want to do such thing because I'll get the knowledge and practice
for free and Sun will get plenty of cheap code (more than they spent for
covering my education about X Window System, for sure).
This is just my opinion/proposal.
