y.a.w. The good news is, that the old pre-libpciaccess Xorg && drivers do support your pcibridge and gfx chipset. The instructions in http://www.martux.org/xorg/FOX1.0/SPARC/INSTALL are more than outdated, but they give you a glimpse. Then install the aperture driver contained in the package SUNWaperture, contained in http://www.martux.org/xorg/FOX1.0/SPARC/FOX1.0_RELEASE__SPARC.tar.gz . The ddx modules and server binary contained in this tar file are obsolete. So ignore the other packages. Instead extract http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~mbeinsx/FOX/bin-snapshots/fox-gate20080826tue__sparc-binaries__proto-snapshot.tar.bz2 Ok, all this is ugly and dirty. If you prefer to just give it a first test-run (everything here refers to the old pre-libpciaccess solution), then you might want to try out this basic/minimal/unpolished LivCD: http://www.martux.org/SPARC_distro_incl_Xorg7.2/cdrom__NoGnome_NoJDS_with_icewm/Natamar_0.4__b96_sparc_cdrom.iso As I said, all this is unpolished experimental proof-of-concept-stage software. Are more usable solution is on the way. Then with libpciaccess based support for _all_ pcibridges. %mab
