Just so you know, what I'd want would be (dreaming) to be able to use my XVR-1000 with Xorg, or (more realistic) to be able to use my Creator-3D rev 2 with Xorg at 1920x1200. With a Sun Blade 2000, the only fast slots are the UPA slots and the 64-bit PCI slot (which on my already has an LSI SAS controller in it, that probably works much better there than in a 32-bit slot). I think I have an XVR-100 that I could put in a 32-bit slot, but that would be very very slow compared to the XVR-1000! The other thing I'd be looking for would be that a driver binary could work with the existing Xorg, _not_ a replacement installation of the entire X server. No idea how many people might want something like that, for those frame buffers for which it would be possible. From what I've seen here, if nothing has changed, at least 3 to 5. Maybe not hundreds or thousands anywhere, even if you could get the word out. As one of the few, I'd be fine with the price of a good meal, but probably not with anything that would make a bank happy. :-/ -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ xwin-discuss mailing list [email protected] List info: http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/xwin-discuss Unsubscribe: http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/options/xwin-discuss
