Does anyone have suggestions about this highly reproducible problem?
Xorg.log is filling up with (EE) Jan 05 21:51:10 NVIDIA(0): Failed to allocate NVIDIA TV Event Handler (EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting *** (EE) Jan 05 21:51:10 NVIDIA(0): Error recovery failed. (EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting *** at a rate of between 140 and 170 per second for about 3 minutes (20,000 times) then something like (WW) Jan 04 15:26:30 NVIDIA(0): WAIT (0, 6, 0x8000, 0x0000ac1c, 0x0000ac1c) (WW) Jan 04 15:26:33 NVIDIA(0): WAIT (0, 7, 0x8000, 0x0000bd08, 0x0000bd08) (WW) Jan 04 15:26:36 NVIDIA(0): WAIT (0, 6, 0x8000, 0x0000d610, 0x0000d610) every 3 seconds until gdm is terminated. This can be reproduced easily by enabling the screensaver. The TV event message is output when it goes to suspend and it switches to the WAIT message after powering off the displays (twinview is on). I'd post this on an Nvidia forum but I doubt anyone there can help. This is an ASUS branded GPU on a Supermicro motherboard. I doubt ASUS support would be of much help either :-).
