My desire for less formal work notwithstanding, I'd like to support your goal.

However I suggest that it needs to be cast in a framework that considers the full range of IETF management activities that should be available in archival format. In other words, this should not be considered as an isolated requirement, and almost certainly not in terms of this wg.

With a coherent view of such things, we can work forward, to make sure that each bit really is available long term. This will almost certainly not require changes in the formal, daily work of any IETF participant but will, rather, entail a set of back-end procedures for formal IETF archiving rules.
