Comrades, as far as I am aware, in my capacity as a member of the ANC, Cde Terror is an ordinary member of the ANC, I mean he is not even a branch leader. Issues that are usually raised by members of the ANC are referred to the lower structures of leadership where they belong. I do not understand why the NEC should worry itself so much about issues that they should have procedurally referred to the Branch Executive Committee of the ANC where Cde Lekota belongs (that is if he does belong to any branch at all). I do not wish to sound harsh at all, but my worry is that we sometimes overlook the policies, principles, practice and culture of the ANC when we do certain things, and this will only lead to setting wrong precedence within our organization.

The open letter by Lekota has raised some serious issues. However, those issues of should have been raised by mere branch members other than Lekota. I do not agree with Lekota that the explanation should come from the current leadership. All this issues started at a time Lekota was chairperson of the ANC. However, the ANC should correctly respond to the issues as raised not the individual who raised the issues. This is another way of suppression of views. However I feel Jeff has with his language misrepresented the ANC. He responded on behalf of the NEC of the ANC but to be honest like a political toddler. He raised issues that took place in the previous NEC of which he was part as if he was not there. If he was there, it tells us that he is a coward to be precise. If Lekota did not write that open letter, we would not know the truth that it was not TM but Lekota who suppressed views of NEC members. He calls members of the ANC (mind you: Jeff is an NEC member and a communist) "dying horses". I really do not think that the language and the content of the response represents the policies, guiding principles and democratic views of the ANC. Surely, the ANC NEC should correctly without attaching personal emotions respond to the issues raised by Lekota. Jeff dismally failed to represent the ANC and its legal framework.
