Comrades, The song has nothing to do with the murder...I agree that we are setting a very worrying precedent as Government. I wonder how many messages of condolence is the Goernment going to have to send out every time a black child has died at the hands of these people. Dont get me wrong, I do not condone or encourage and/or rejoice at the tragic events.
Let us open a debate on broad issues affecting farm workers and their relationship with their employers. This is an opportune time for the country to do so. Remember though " He who volunteers to be hurt must never feel the pain..." E.T. volunteered...and he got what he had bargained for. Why employ a child and even be involved in a wage dispute with such a child. According to media reports, as he was refusing to pay them, he even ordered them to go and bring some cows from the feld, which they did and he cntinued to refuse them. Somebody tell me!
