I think you missing the point here. Today's headline screams: "Malema in surprise trip"! Now, what is the surprise element about this trip? This imminent, eminent trip was communicated to the media (IOL included!) as early as the 29 March 2010, if not earlier. The ANCYL is going "berserk" (to borrow your term), because this mischievous report implies that the YL is sneaking out of the country at best or at worst acting in defiance of the ANC - a lie the media is hell-bent on peddling.
