Comrades,

If the Ratanang Family Trust is not secret, then why is any part of it
secret?

Why did the ANC Youth League use the Ratanang Family Trust, named after
Julius Malema's son?

Conversely, if it is an ANC Youth League affair, then why is it treated as
part of Julius Malema's confidential private affairs?

I am an ANC member, and the ANC Youth League is a part of the ANC.

It looks as if Julius Malema is helping himself to money that is raised in
the name of the ANC Youth League, and by extension the ANC of which I am a
member. It looks like this because Julius Malema has no other known source
of income except what accrues to him as a result of his election to be an
office bearer.

Therefore I wish, like Cde Mashiya, to know, what the sources and amounts of
funds are that have accrued to the Ratanang Family Trust, and what have been
the applications of those funds.

On the face of it, there is deliberate obscurity as between ANC money, and
the ANC office bearer's (Malema's) money. This is a regrettable, but not an
unfamiliar problem in any organisation.

If Julius Malema has been treating ANC money as his own, then we as the ANC
want to know about it, before the police and the SARS.

If Julius Malema has been raising money as ANC and using it himself for his
personal expenditure then he is required to account to us, as ANC,
regardless of what may later transpire with the police or the tax
authorities or any other parties that may think they have an interest.
