Attack on any leader or member of the Alliance is undermining our
revolution, it is very painful when it is done by our own comrades
e.g, when a comrades was convicted for stabbing a provincial (Western
Cape), when a former Mayor and bodyguard were convicted for killing a
fellow comrade, and ANC Councillor (NW) etc.

These are just some of the happening that COSATU said have a
propensity to take our country towards a "predator state". If it is
true that some YCL Provincial leaders' lives are in danger, then we
have a serious problem. What might really be the cause of this?

On the Gauteng reshuffling; I went through an article from the Mail
and Guardian of this week (July 20-26 2012), Page 34. The heading of
the article reads as follows; CHANGES COULD BE GOOD FOR GAUTENG. I was
to see class rivals acknowledging the strength of appointed comrades.

If it is true that our SACP has not been consulted what might have
been the reasons? Apart from not consulting by the ANC (Gauteng), what
positive strides can we exploit from these appointments?

The fact that the ANC did not consult does not automatically make the
appointed comrades bad for the job at hand or lesser communists that
others. I tried to think deep of who might be the favourite who was
not appointed but could not thing of any. But I am also aware that
some of the comrades who haboured ambitions of being MEC's are not in
the Gauteng Legislature therefore they lose. I am of the view that if
they were in the Legislature they would have been appointed.

I am glad that credentials of people appointed are not questioned but
the process is questioned. I thefore implore that, as communists and
members of the SACP, while questioning the process we should support
the appointments of these comrades.

WE CANNOT DONATE OUR COMMUNISTS TO CLASS RIVALS, WHAT WE NEED NOW ARE
MESSAGES OF SUPPORT FOR THESE COMRADE RATHER THAN DISCOURAGING THEM IN
THE SINGLE OFA LONG, TEDIOUS BUT HONOURABLE TASKS IN FRONT OF THEM.
