The South African Communist Party in the Moses Mabhida Region (previously known as KwaZulu-Natal) has warned opposition parties who have taken the National Assembly to court in an attempt to force a Parliamentary debate on a motion of no confidence on President Jacob Zuma.
SACP KZN Provincial Secretary Themba Mthembu said this court action, which seeks to question the constitutionality of our parliamentary processes, could shake the basic foundations of the country’s negotiated settlement and plunge the country into a constitutional crisis.
Western Cape High Court Judge Dennis Davis said he would give his judgment tomorrow following the National Assembly debate today.
The motion was mandated by eight opposition parties. Ends *For more information please contact Themba Mthembu at 083 303 6988* -- You are subscribed. This footer can help you.
