*Figures on COSATU membership*
Figures below are current affiliates' membership, and aggregate
affilates' membership for a number of previous years.
The calculation of the actual annual rate of increase achieved differs
according to the starting point taken.
The "2015 Plan" passed by the COSATU 8th Congress in 2003 was for 10%
annual increase and a total membership of 2.6 million by 2006, 4 million
by 2009.
The actual figures were about 2.3% increase and 2.2 million members by 2012.
