Dear VC, It is quite clear that we regard our own internal processes as and when they suit us. As you are correctly putting it to us that it has never happened in the history of the Federation under the leadership of Zwelinzima Vavi that an issue be subjected to a vote. It is very clear to us that there are people who are deemed to be above the Federation by others and by themselves. One fails to understand as to what is it that is wrong (without bringing a whole lot of issues on a alleged misconduct a person committed and admitted to) to submit yourself to a process in this regard a disciplinary process without clouding the issues which are/must be put before the correct structures of the Federation for engagement. Talking from a feminine perspective, it is unfortunate that the alleged misconduct which was committed or happened between two people (a male and female) is now being used to protect an individual. Now the noise has been around this male comrade who happens to be the GS of the Federation and the woman is left out of the whole thing as if nothing happened to her. It is very sad that we as women we are being used to spearhead male issues and forget about the plight of women. No one has ever asked as to where is the woman whom was suspended with the GS, how is she and is she okay. Worse of all, when the matter was taken to court, is she part of the whole court issue or is she not? Will this woman be expected to report back for duty same as the GS or not? If not, where is fairness in the whole thing. Lastly, as the Federation, what precedence are we setting in particular on this matter as we always advocate for women's rights, women emancipation and gender equity. Kgomotso
