News24white.png SACP should focus on organisation, not revenge - Nzimande Kaveel Singh, News24, Durban, 27 January 2016 SACP general secretary Blade Nzimande has called on his KwaZulu-Natal constituency to focus on organisation rather than revenge. Nzimande was referring to the killing of two people during a meeting at the Kandokweni sports grounds on Sunday. Police said car tyres were slashed and windscreens damaged when stones were thrown. Two cases of murder and malicious damage to property were opened at the Inchanga police station. The tripartite alliance needed to address its problems, Nzimande told journalists during a visit to the area on Wednesday. He was visiting the relatives of Phillip Dlamini, 69, who was killed in what was believed to have been a politically motivated shooting on Sunday. "Yes there are certainly points of concern for us, but I am sure that we can come together and as a collective find solutions. We have to start by being honest in identifying the problems we are facing. "And as an alliance, we are quite capable of dealing with it. We will have to do that. I have no doubt if we can fix internal problems, we will be able to pull off successful government elections." Nzimande cautioned against violence and said KwaZulu-Natal needed to remain stable. "We cannot afford to go back as the ANC and as the alliance in KwaZulu-Natal. We have done very, very well to take this province to where it is today. Of course, I believe this extends to the rest of the country as well." Leaders must come together Leaders in the province needed to resolve their problems. He said he was worried about the state of ANC and SACP relations ahead of the elections. "Of course, we are worried. There have been shootings. An elderly resident and citizen of the area has been killed. That is why we are here. We are worried because of where we come from. We cannot allow killings to happen again. "That is why we say the alliance as a whole needs to stand up." Nzimande warned SACP members to redirect their anger into organisation rather than revenge.
