Ignore Vavi's words, look at what he is

Former COSATU leader Zwelinzima Vavi is reported to have urged workers to do
to COSATU what the electorate did to the ANC in the local government
elections.
The man who elected to abandon his duties at COSATU and decided to be the
general secretary of Twitter has no revolutionary moral authority to be an
adviser of workers.
Workers must keep as far away from his advice as possible.
This is the man who, in his own words, deliberately recruited a young woman
who had a stable job at the airport, created a post for her at COSATU
headquarters, and went on to sexually abuse her.
He did this in the full knowledge that the young woman would not refuse his
sexual advances as legally complaint routes were closed to her.
Divisive and disloyal
As if that was not enough, when the young woman decided to stand up for her
rights, he went for the jugular, first slandering her by posting their
private conversations on the COSATU web site, and later going on public
"lectures" calling her a "nopatazane" (loosely, a woman of no morals). Myst
we, the workers, be subjected to this man's "wisdom"? No!
COSATU later became the subject of a civil suit because of the man's
stupidity. It is important that workers focus not on what Vavi professes to
be, but on what he is.
Words coming out of his mouth must not blind workers to what he is: a
divisive and disloyal individual who spent a chink of his life at COSATU -
apparently mismanaging - and who bolted when called to account for his
financial transactions.
