Sorry Joel. Didn't mean to be harsh ;-), it's just that this particular thread caused a heated philosophical debate. I agree with Jeremy though, why don't let the network effect take care of URL duplication?

Don't bite the newbies. :)

Besides, this is basically the same as URL/resource duplication.  As
long as we're largely agreeing, the network effect makes it work ok.
