Jerrold, It's a good question. Changes to the bookmarks in your sidebar trigger an immediate sync to del.icio.us, as you noticed. It does take a few minutes for the sidebar to refresh, so there's a short period where they're out of sync. We're working to minimize that. Likewise, updates to your bookmarks performed on the del.icio.us site are synced to your browser, but again they take a couple minutes to appear.
