I'm still planning to buy one. Even with the current limitation on video, the PS3 with YDL seems to be a cost effective HPC workstation or compute node. Accelerated graphics would be very nice for data visualization, but I can live without it for a while. The last time I played with a supercomputer, it was over a WAN a couple of hundred miles away and there was no graphics at all.
