I'm getting a similar issue. First it complained that gconf was missing. I
fixed that by doing apt-get install libghc6-gconf-dev. Now it fails with
yi-0.6.2.4 depends on derive-2.3.0.2 which failed to install.
When I do cabal install derive it installs version 2.4.2, so I guess my
problem is that yi depends on an old version of derive.
