Hi all,

As you say mark this is probably old news and even if it is recent news .. it doesnt matter at all ... we are preparing and working hard towards a new yoper release ... which is led by teamleader Tobias Gerschner .. not Andreas Girardet with all due respect ... andreas's his yoper editions were the work of one man ... and they are in the past ... off course Andreas can say all he wants about his own releases .. but we are all working on a new release now ... which is a community effort ... in other words there is a new yoper sun out there .. which shines on us .. and the rain is falling .. and yoper is growing .. and blossoming .. ok i will stop now .. dont want to sound too much like a preacher .. :)

mainpoint is:

TobiG led yoper editions are the future ... and they will rock this earth  :)

Regards,

Johnbon

I still feel this is something Andreas put there some time ago....
I suspect Distrowatch may have picked this up from the posts here on the dev
lists - they are, after all, open to all. We have always gone for open
discussion - which means that all posts to this list are available to all.
Ladislav, the guy who runs Distrowatch has posted on here before - and of
course, he is welcome to do so :) So perhaps that is where Distrowatch got
the information. It would seem logical - the message on there appeared after
the posts on this list.

I suspect Tobias is busy with his move currently, and will be unable to get
involved in attempting to sort this out. Likewise, I suspect Andreas posted
the message in the ftp server some time ago - and probably forgot all about
it!
Although Andreas is no longer actively involved in Yoper development, he does
take an interest in what is happening - I would not like us to point fingers
at Andreas - or any other person - over this. I honestly believe it is
nothing more than an oversight. I am sure there was a reason for the message
being there - maybe when the Yoper server was moved, or something similar.

It is rather annoying that it has appeared on Distrowatch at this time - after
all, we are gearing up for the release, However, I suppose Open Source means
exactly what it implies - that we do not hide what happens on Yoper, even if
it is a little frustrating!

Hopefully, those involved will be able to explain a little more about what has
happened - but until then I guess we need to just assume this is an oversight
from some time ago.

Mark
