Sorry there is no easy answer for groups. If you add each group member to the Address Book and assign a category with the name of the group attached to the contact, you can sort by category to recreate the group. If they are in the Address Book they will have the person icon. If not, it will be a blue dot. However, you have to open each and add the category. If you don't have very many, you can take screen shots and use that to recreate.
