Um, you shouldn't be having to copy over 'your' plist files to 'her' User space. That's why each person has their own account.... > > It will be interesting to see what happen to our settings when, and if, we > decide to go with Office 2011. > > One negative thing about the OS X Fast Switch occurs when you want to Restart > or Shut down and OS X forces you to type in your User ID and Password. Right, because so far you have not been logged in when she has shut down the machine. > When i encountered the nag note, I just entered root and the pwd which was > easier than typing in the user ID. And, if you wife, who was logged in thereby causing the 'nag message', had anything open that she had NOT saved, you effectively 'force quit(ted) her account and the document changes did not get saved. > > The bottom line is I like Fast Switch and thank both of you for the tip. Unless you are CERTAIN that the other user does not have any unsaved documents, you'd be well advised to NOT enter the Admin password and shutdown the machine that way. -- Kia Kaha -- YouTalk mailing list List information: http://www.entourage.mvps.org/support_options/list.html List moderator: [email protected], [email protected] To unsubscribe: mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe
