Agree, however it's a start. The way yum "talks" to the user is not pretty. E.g. depsolve.py is ... interesting. The logging system has been rewritten at least once, however it need one more I guess. Part of problem is that yum is dual function as cli tool and rpm/depsolver/whatnot library. The common problem with plugins has the same nature.
