Ok, you have two pkgKey's, with the same pkgId, of kernel-source-2.6.18.8-0.8.i586 package[1]. Given that excludes changed to using pkgKey in 3.2.10 this is almost certainly the problem. Although I'm not sure what the right fix is atm. The obvious choice is that createrepo really shouldn't do the above, but yum should probably handle it too. Anyway, thanks for the help. [1] Note that I do _not_ get this in the XML[2] repodata from: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/update/10.2 (everything else identical to your update.repo) ... so this appears to be something that happens when you are copying it locally.
